2019-5-15 · Without a doubt, the highlight of the Burr Trail was the drive through Muley Twist Canyon and the associated Burr Trail switchbacks, a drop of 800 feet in one mile. Don’t think about taking a large motorhome or towing a travel trailer or boat down these steep, narrow switchbacks, the turns are just too sharp and the road too narrow to maneuver.

This is a very accessible slot canyon located along the Burr Trail in Central Utah. It is called Singing Canyon and is a side canyon to Long Canyon. There are no signs or other indications of its existence, which is the case with many of the area's slot canyons, but it is well known in the area.

This hike begins off the Burr trail road. From Boulder, drive 11 miles east on the Burr Trail Road to a small, unmarked paved pullout on the north (left) side of the road. From the pullout, the narrow slot is visible directly across the wash. Walk into this short canyon to experience the tall walls and narrow perspective of a slot canyon.
